Terms and Conditions


Bartwood Manor Guest House is an adults only retreat intended for short-term vacation purposes for the travelling public and is not suitable for pets or children.

PARKING

Each reservation will be designated a single parking spot unless otherwise approved by the host. If additional or large vehicle parking is required we ask that our guests let us know ahead of time so that we can plan ahead and do our best to accommodate any additional parking requests.

NOISE

In order to provide our guests with a calm and relaxing atmosphere, parties, loud music, and disruptive behavior will not be permitted. Out of respect to other guests & neighbors we ask that all guests reduce noise after 11 pm.

SMOKING

Bartwood Manor Guest House does not allow any smoking indoors or in the outdoor common areas that are not designated for smoking. The designated smoking area(s) will be equipped with ashtrays in which guests will be expected to fully extinguish and dispose of all waste.

ADDITIONAL GUESTS

For safety reasons, only registered guests will be permitted on the property. If you expect to have extra guests visit during your stay, you must request to have them registered under your booking before they will be permitted on the property. You will be responsible for any damage or disruptions caused by any guest registered under your booking.

LOST AND DAMAGED ITEMS

Bartwood Manor Guest House and its Hosts are not responsible for Guest(s) lost and/or damaged items. We will immediately notify the Guest(s) of any items found after check-out using the contact information given. Any additional costs and fees involved in returning items left behind by the guest will be the responsibility of the guest. Any items left behind will be kept up to 30 days after checkout before considered abandoned.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

At Bartwood Manor Guest House the safety and security of our guests is our main priority. There is no open flame permitted indoors (ex: candles, incense, matches, etc). Suites and hallways are furnished with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as well as fire extinguishers. There is also an emergency exit map located at the entrance of each suite. We ask that our guests please familiarize themselves with the escape plan in the event of an emergency. Security cameras are located in all common areas, along with RING doorbells on each entrance to the building. Tampering with fire and security equipment is strictly prohibited. We ask that our guests please use caution while venturing through the property. We are located on a hill with uneven ground/stone, steps, mulched pathways, natural landscape, etc. We welcome you to enjoy our beautiful gardens, but please stay on pathways and kindly refrain from standing on any rock ledge bordering our ponds. We would appreciate that you report any safety concerns/hazards to us immediately. Use of gardens is at your own risk.

PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS

A damage deposit of $200.00 (Canadian) is to be paid at the time of booking. The deposit will be refunded within 72 hours of checkout provided there are no necessary deductions made due to damage of property or furnishings, excessive mess requiring extra cleaning or any other additional cost incurred as a result of the Guest(s) stay. If such deductions are necessary, the Host will send the Guest an itemized list describing the charges and any security deposit amount left over (if any) will be returned. Rental fees will be due at the time of booking.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Full refund for cancellations made at least 30 days before check-in date, or within 48hrs of booking if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in. The Guest(s) may be required to pay any GST/HST charged in connection with this rental agreement.

PERMITTED USES


Guest(s) may not have personal mail sent to Bartwood Manor guest House. This Property shall be used and occupied solely for short-term vacation purposes only. This agreement is only for transient occupancy of the Property, and the Guest(s) may not make the Property a residence or permanent household, or occupy such property on the basis of tenancy. Under no circumstance shall the relationship be construed as that of a landlord and tenant.
